Artwork Guidelines
How to prepare files so your signs go into production without delays. If any of this is unfamiliar, send what you have and we'll set it up for you.
File types
- Best: vector files, AI, PDF, EPS or SVG. They cut and print sharp at any size.
- Okay for printed graphics: high-resolution JPG, PNG or TIFF, at least 150 ppi at full print size.
- Not usable for cut signs: screenshots, images pulled from websites, and Word or PowerPoint files. We can redraw artwork from these for a design fee.
Before you send
- Convert text to outlines, or include the font files, so nothing changes on our end.
- Build at full size (1:1) when you can. If not, note the scale on the file.
- Call out colors with PMS numbers, or name the paint or vinyl color you want matched.
- Add bleed to printed panels that run to the edge. We’ll confirm the amount for your material on the proof.
- Include a sign list for multi-sign orders: sign type, text and quantity for each.
ADA signs
Send the room names and numbers, and we’ll handle the rest. Tactile text is set in a compliant uppercase sans-serif font and braille is added in production, so there’s no need to create braille in your file.
Sending files
- Attach files up to 25 MB to the request form on our 48-Hour Signs page or the contact page.
- For larger files, email a Dropbox, Google Drive or WeTransfer link to info@access48.com.
Proofs
Every job gets a proof before production. Please check spelling, sizes and colors carefully, since your approval is what we build from.
